With Examity, students can take their online proctored exam from anywhere they have privacy, a computer that is connected to the Internet, a webcam, and a microphone.
Implementing Examity in an Online Course (Beginning in Spring 2022)
There is a new process in place for Examity integration requests that began in the spring 2022 semester. In order to use Examity, you must be sure that your course is coded properly in Banner. Online courses that will be using the Examity tool MUST be coded with the “DLAP” instructional method and must also contain the following language in the comment field of the course on the tally:
“This course requires online proctored exams via Examity. The College will pay the standard proctoring fee for exams. Students will be responsible for any fees incurred for late cancellations/rescheduling or missed exams. Students must also have reliable access to an Examity compatible computer with a webcam and microphone. See Examity Information for Students for system requirements and additional information prior to registering for this course.”
If your course is coded in Banner as using the Examity proctoring tool, you will receive an Examity Integration Request form via email from the Teaching Resource Center. This form will ask you for information regarding the course, number/duration of exams and a description of your pedagogical reasons for utilizing proctored testing. Once your request form has been processed, you will receive an email with further instructions. Please let Stephanie Malmberg know if you have any questions; her email is malmbergsm@sunybroome.edu.
