The college continues to closely monitor COVID-19 conditions, and we’re gathering input from the CDC and other official sources daily. If you have questions specific to the College’s COVID-19 procedures, please email EOC@sunybroome.edu.
All employees, students, and visitors on campus must:
- wear a face mask in indoor settings regardless of vaccination status.
- practice social distancing of at least 6 feet if unvaccinated or in a classroom and lab setting, where practicable.
Required Student Vaccination Information
Per the Pfizer vaccine receiving Food and Drug Administration approval, all SUNY students with an on-campus presence are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Please see below for information regarding this mandate:
- Submit proof of vaccination on the SUNY Vaccination Verification site. Anyone vaccinated outside of New York State will need to upload a copy of their vaccination card. All students are required to complete this process.
To review the complete SUNY Policy please visit the SUNY COVID Information site.
Vaccine Appointment Information
Per Broome County and CDC guidance, and in an effort to keep our campus community safe, SUNY Broome will require masks in indoor settings regardless of vaccination status effective Monday, August 9, 2021. This requirement will be in effect until further notice. Masks are not required in personal areas such as an office when social distancing is possible.
Vaccinated employees and commuter students that wish to continue participating in campus pool testing are welcome to do so but are no longer required. Residential students (Student Village) are required to continue with bi-weekly testing.
Testing will be conducted in the Calice Connector area, first floor. Testing will be done by walk-ins only, no appointment necessary, please monitor your email for dates and times.
Prior to arrival, you must pre-register for testing at www.suny-covid-test.com. Registration only needs to be completed one time. Anyone that has previously participated in testing does not need to re-register. Simply log in using the same credentials as before. For more information about test day requirements, visit the Pooled Testing Information Site.
The following are exempt from mandatory testing:
- Employees that have submitted proof of vaccination to Human Resources in person or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org and students who have verified their vaccine status at www2.sysadm.suny.edu/
- Employees and students who are fully remote.
- Employees and students not utilizing any in-person campus services/activities.
