Permanent Hanging System
The Gallery@SUNY Broome has a permanent hanging system installed on the walls of the space. If the hanging system does not accommodate exhibition needs, arrangements must be made with the Library Director. Holes may not be drilled, and nails may not be used on gallery walls.
Lighting
The Gallery@SUNY Broome has a permanent track lighting system installed in the ceiling. This system consists of Twenty-two (22) movable can lights installed on five (5) tracks running from the front to the back of the gallery. The gallery assistant will be responsible for adjusting the lighting for each show.
Electricity
The Gallery@SUNY Broome has electricity available for exhibition use. The gallery is outfitted with eleven (11) electric outlets, The Gallery@SUNY Broome is not responsible for providing extension cords or other necessary resources for use of these outlets.
Audio/Visual
Audio technology is available to the Gallery@SUNY Broome. Go to SUNY Broome’s Event Planning web page to request equipment. There are 2 options on this page one for SUNY Broome departments and organizations and the other for Events and rentals for external organizations.
Ladders
If you need a ladder, contact campus maintenance, Maintenance Request.
Pedestals, Acrylic Display Cases, Mannequins, etc.
The Gallery@SUNY Broome offers six (6) pedestals of varying sizes, and a variety of table top acrylic display cases and four (4) mannequins. These items must be requested in the Gallery Application Form, as they may be loaned out for events within the building and cannot be guaranteed unless requested in the Gallery Application.
Tables and easels
The Gallery@SUNY Broome, as an entity of the Campus, does have access to tables via Maintenance Request and nine (18) adjustable wooden easels. These items are available upon request.
