- Submit an Intent to Graduate Form
- Visit the Registrar’s Intent to Graduate page and follow instructions on how to submit this form.
- In order to participate in Commencement, this form must be submitted to confirm that you have met all the degree requirements to award your degree.
- If you do not wish to participate in Commencement, this form must still be submitted for the semester in which you intend to graduate.
February 2025
- Diplomas will be mailed to fall graduates late February, following certification by the respective departments.
- Regalia is available for purchase online.
March 2025
- Students that have submitted their Intent to Graduate will receive an email with information regarding Commencement and regalia.
- Students that have missed the March 15, 2025 deadline to submit their Intent to Graduate form may still do so, but their name will not appear in the Commencement program.
April – May 2025
- Students that have submitted their Intent to Graduate will receive a mailed letter with important information regarding Commencement.
- Regalia will be available for purchase in person at the SUNY Broome Bookstore.
- Check your email and the Commencement page for the most up to date information about Commencement.
- Clear up any possible holds with SUNY Broome, such as parking tickets, outstanding balances, etc.
May 22, 2025
- Toast to the Tassel
- 10 a.m. – noon: Cheers to the class of 2025! Kick off the big day with a brunch-style picnic on the quad with fellow grads. We’ll raise our glasses for a sparkling juice toast at 11:30 a.m. Wear your regalia, and bring family and friends, for a self-guided photo tour at popular campus locations!
- 11:30 a.m.: Sparkling juice toast on the Quad
- Rehearsal
- 1 p.m.: Graduates who wish to participate in the Commencement ceremony must attend rehearsal to receive important information, including lineup procedures. You will also pick up your name card at rehearsal, which is required for the ceremony.
- Ceremony
- 5:30 p.m.: Graduates begin to line up in full regalia. Graduates must have their name card that they picked up at rehearsal.
- 6:30 p.m.: Commencement begins
July 2025
- Diplomas will be mailed to spring graduates late July, following certification by the respective departments.
September 2025
- Diplomas will be emailed to summer graduates late September, following certification by the respective departments.
