Hospital Inpatient Coding and Quality Improvement* Microcredential
Students learn advanced coding, basic quality-improvement skills, how to recognize disease signs/symptoms, determine principal diagnosis, identify commonly-prescribed drugs, code diagnoses and procedures; compute diagnostic-related groupings, perform quality-assessment audits, and analyze/display findings. This is the third in a series of three microcredentials building the knowledge required for the American Academy of Professional Coders’ Certified Professional Coder exam.
