Examity is the Online Remote Proctoring tool that is used at SUNY Broome for student identity verification and remote proctoring of online exams. Examity is integrated with the Blackboard Learning Management System and has been set up for single sign-on, so that no additional username or password are needed to access the system.
With Examity, students can take their online proctored exam from anywhere they have privacy, a computer that is connected to the Internet, a webcam, and a microphone.
Implementing Examity in Your Course (Fall 2021 Only)
Examity is available for fully online courses only. For more information about using Examity in your online course and the steps that are necessary to successfully implement Examity into your online instruction please refer to the document below.
Implementing Examity in Your Course (Beginning in Spring 2022)
There is a new process in place for Examity integration requests for the spring 2022 semester. We are asking that you use the Spring 2022 Request for Examity – Blackboard Course Integration form to request Examity integration into your Blackboard courses for spring by 10/8 at 5:00 pm (so that the information can be included in the published schedule to students), as well as describe your pedagogical reasons for utilizing proctored testing. Once you have completed the request form, you will be notified of a decision via email on or about 10/18. Please let Stephanie Malmberg know if you have any questions; her email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
