Support for Adult Learners

Veterans

Veterans
SUNY Broome is proud to support our veterans! The Veteran & Military Affairs Office processes certifications for 75-80 veterans who are attending classes and receiving veteran’s education benefits; referrals for counseling for financial, vocational and academic problems; and important information about resources available to them at the College.

Please see the Veteran & Military Affairs page for additional information.

Counseling and Career Services

The Center for Career Development is an additional resource that provides support to current students and SUNY Broome alumni by assisting with resumes, interview skills, and so much more.

Career and Technical Education (CTE) empowers Perkins-eligible students by supporting them throughout their academic journey at SUNY Broome. From college to career (or transfer), TCC provides professional development, time management skills, assistive technology, tutoring and more.

Basic Computer Skills Tutorial

If you need to brush up on your computer skills, try the “Essential Computer Skills” tutorial, a series of modules that have been designed specifically for students of SUNY Broome Community College. The tutorial is divided into 4 main areas that cover specific computer skills that students should have in order to be successful in their studies. The modules contain skills that can be applied to your computer use outside of SUNY Broome, as well as information that is specific to the computer systems we have on campus.

In addition, if you are seeking more structured, guided instruction in basic computer skills the department of Continuing Education offers many non-credit computer classes.  Inquire within for more information on class meeting times and locations.
