SUNY Broome Celebrates National Disability Employment Awareness Month
SUNY Broome celebrates National Disability Employment Awareness Month in October! This year’s theme “Disability: Part of the Equity Equation” fits well with SUNY Broome’s commitment to achieving a more inclusive and equitable campus community for all. NDEAM has been celebrated in a variety of forms since 1945, with the official title and full month’s dedication beginning in 1988. NDEAM is a time to recognize the contributions of workers with disabilities throughout our community and throughout history. It is also a time for our college community to celebrate the services offered to students with disabilities at our Accessibility Resources Office (ARO). Please join the President’s Task Force on Diversity and Equity in celebrating the diversity of abilities that make our college unique today, and prepare us all for a stronger, more inclusive workforce of tomorrow.
