One Book: Welcome to Kindergarten

Young boy holding a bookHow Rocket Learned to Read, by Tad Hills

It doesn’t take long for readers, young and old, to fall in love with Rocket.  This heart-warming story of how an apprehensive puppy learns to read through the support of his teacher, the little yellow bird, exemplifies the interest and excitement we want every child to experience.

With the generous support of Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo, the Literacy Legacy Project is proud to gift every child in Broome County entering Kindergarten with this beautiful book.
