How do I display my microcredential electronically?
You can insert your Credly badge into Word and Google Docs in several ways:
- copy the badge URL and link it to text in the document
- highlight the name of your microcredential in your resume text,
- right click (employ the Context Key)
- choose “insert link”
- paste the URL
- select “Apply”
- copy the badge URL and paste it into the document
- copy the embed code for your digital credential
- download your OBI compliant open badge
To add a hyperlink to your Credly microcredential badge in a PDF of your resume:
- Open your PDF in Adobe Acrobat
- Select Edit PDF from the toolbar
- Choose Link > Add or Edit
- You’ll notice your mouse or cursor turns into a crosshair. Use the crosshair pointer to highlight the part of your document (images, text, and so on) that you want to add your link to.
To add your Credly microcredential badge to your LinkedIn page, follow these instructions from Credly.
How do I obtain my digital badge from Credly?
After completing your microcredential course at SUNY Broome, you’ll receive an email from Credly notifying you of your new digital credential. The email will come from admin@yourclaim.com, so be sure to add this address to your email contacts to avoid your notification going into a spam folder. Select the “accept your badge” button.

SUNY Broome’s microcredential page and SUNY Broome’s Credly content contain microcredential descriptions you can use on your resume or LinkedIn page to describe your credential. In online listings, you can link to your Credly badge – follow the instructions in the credential claim email from Credly.
